About FGCCCC

At Fort Garry Child Care, we are proud to support over 167 families, offering quality care for children ages 2 to 12 in safe, nurturing, and engaging environments. Our programs are located in Fort Garry—featuring one preschool program at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology’s Pembina Campus, three school-age programs at Oakenwald, Henry G. Izatt, and École Viscount Alexander School, and our newest nursery school program at our Oakenwald location.

We serve families whose children attend École Viscount Alexander, Henry G. Izatt, Oakenwald, École Crane, and Whyte Ridge School, helping to create a strong sense of continuity between home, school, and child care.

At FGCCCC, we are committed to providing high-quality, play-based, and child-centered care where every child feels valued and supported. Our programs foster a positive self-image, encourage independence, and promote respect for oneself, others, and the environment. Meet Our Management Team

Jennifer

Executive Director

My name is Jennifer and my career in Early Childhood Education began on the floor as a Child Care Assistant in 2006. I had always had a passion for working with children to support their growth and development and after a short time on the floor, I realized that this was the field I needed to be in. I believe in play-based learning for all children.

Jodi

Assistant Director

I have been in the Early Childhood Education field since 1998 and have been at FGCCCC since 2006. During my time here at FGCCCC I have worked as an ECE in both the Preschool and School-Age programs, Site Supervisor and now the Assistant Directors since 2009. I believe the best way for children learn is through play.

Amanda

School-Age Site Supervisor

My name is Amanda and my child care journey began in 2012 when I was hired at the Fort Garry Oakenwald program as a CCA with no formal experience; just a passion for working with children. My younger sister is on the autism spectrum, so I always had somewhat of an interest in child development and inclusion.
